Kith, Marvel and Asics are forming a super team for the third year in a row, and Capcom has been added to mix for an even more expansive range of characters.
Six sneakers have been made for the capsule based off of the “Marvel vs. Capcom” series of fighting games, four of which will appear in two double-boxes. The first double-box pairs Guile and Captain America for their own versions of the Gel-Kayano 12.1. Both bring a military look, Captain America’s in blue, silver and red and Guile’s in olive green and silver.
The second double-box brings together Iron Man and Mega Man for Gel-Nimubus 10.1s. Iron Man’s, naturally, is rendered entirely in different shades of red, while Mega Man’s features a range of blues, as well as white, silver and red.

Going for sale on their own will be Gel-Kayano 14s modeled after Wolverine and Ryu. The former features iridescent leather overlays with a blue and yellow gradient Tiger Stripe logo, while the latter gets a distressed canvas upper.
Each of the six sneakers features custom artwork on the insole with “Marvel vs. Capcom” marks on the left shoe and another for Kith and Asics on the right. Packaging for each double-box borrows the aesthetics of retro arcades and will include a special-edition comic, and the single-boxes do not include comics.
The six sneakers come as part of a much larger “Marvel vs. Capcom” capsule that includes apparel, comic blind boxes, gaming systems and collectibles from Modernica, Hasbro and Jada Toys.
The “Marvel vs. Capcom” sneakers by Kith and Asics will release Friday through Kith’s website, app and stores. Pricing is set at $450 for the double-boxes and $220 for the singles.
