Deion Sanders’ signature Nike line from the 1990s has been a huge hit for the brand’s Sportswear division since the sneakers began rereleasing in 2024. With several more shoes on the way this year and more developments sure to come from the partnership, unreleased styles of Sanders’ Nike Air DT Max ’96 have surfaced courtesy of his eldest son, Deion Jr.
Taking to Sanders’ official Instagram account, Deion Jr. shared four previously unseen colorways of the Air DT Max ’96. In the caption, Deion Jr. explained that the elder Sanders has yet to wear any of the unreleased pairs despite having them over a year.
“Can you please tell him to let me have one pair of these? He’s had these for a whole year and hasn’t worn them… at least I’m asking. Other people (who’s name I won’t say) would’ve just wore them,” Deion Jr. wrote.

Like many of the Air DT Max ’96 sneakers that have been released as part of the model’s latest retro campaign, the latest looks feature colors that match the University of Colorado Boulder, where Sanders has been head coach of the Buffaloes football team since 2023.
Styles include a two-tone “Cool Gray”-like pair with metallic gold accents, a reversed white-and-gray variation, a gold-and-black and a predominantly black colorway with a white outsole, white laces and metallic gold accents.
On his own Instagram story, Deion Jr. urged followers to comment on Sanders’ post. Hopefully, enough interest will sway Nike to release some of the sneakers — or at least encourage Sanders to finally wear them.
While the future of these specific Air DT Max ’96 styles is uncertain, there is plenty on the way from Sanders’ signature line. The former two-sport star’s “Love Letter to Connie” colorway celebrates Mother’s Day, while a new Air Diamond Turf hybrid will combine his first shoe with the Nike LeBron 21. Both of those sneakers are expected to be released in May. For now, readers can preview the unreleased Air DT Max ’96 colorways here.
