Travis Scott Debuted Nike’s Next Collaboration With Cactus Plant Flea Market

The previously unseen sneaker is said to be called the Nike Swamp Sponge Dunk and is expected to be released this fall.

On Saturday, Nike held the finals for the Los Angeles chapter of its Toma El Juego (Take The Game) youth soccer tournament. Featuring top athletes from neighborhoods around the city, the Toma El Juego finals and its accompanying Toma Night Market event was powered by partnerships with brands such as Kids of Immigrants, Undefeated, Badfriend, Nike’s own .Swoosh and Snkrs imprints and more.

In attendance at the event were soccer star Vinicius Junior, Puerto Rican artist Young Miko, pro skater Rayssa Leal and rapper Travis Scott. The “JackBoys 2” artist has been present for many of Nike’s soccer-focused events in recent years, and he even partnered with the sportswear brand to host a “Mad Maximus” one-on-one soccer tournament at Coachella.

At the event, Travis Scott wore a previously unseen Nike Dunk, one that has since been pegged as an upcoming collaboration with whimsical streetwear label Cactus Plant Flea Market (CPFM). According to Sole Retriever, the model is known as the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Swamp Sponge Dunk in a Sequoia/Sequoia/Sequoia (IH5094-300) style. Along with that pair, the collaboration is expected to be released in Photo Blue/Digital Pink/Sequoia (IH5094-400) and Psychic Purple/Photo Blue/Gold Suede (IH5094-500) color combinations.

Although only glimpses of the sneaker were shared thus far, the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Swamp Sponge Dunk promises to be another eye-catching installment from the ongoing partnership between the Cynthia Lu-led label and the Beaverton, Ore.-based sportswear company.

Based on what we can see, the sneaker features puffy, sponge-like paneling through the use of added and exposed padding throughout the panels. The unfinished, exposed seams are reminiscent of the customizable Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Blazer Mid Sponge By You sneakers which were offered in 2019, seemingly making this upcoming Dunk an unofficial sequel of sorts.

The Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Swamp Sponge Dunk is currently expected to be released this fall for a retail price of $150.
