Vanessa Kirby is taking maternity wear to the next level. The actress announced her pregnancy during an event in Mexico to promote her upcoming movie “Fantastic Four: First Steps” over the weekend, wearing a flattering silhouette and Manolo Blahnik high heels.
Kirby and her costars, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Pedro Pascal, attended the CCXP Mexico 2025 at Expo CitiBanamex on Saturday, where she wore a teal Schiaparelli Trompe-L’oeil maxidress, which showcased her growing baby bump.
The sleeveless dress, which is from the Schiaparelli spring 2025 collection, featured a shimmery teal fabric. While the dress wasn’t clinging tightly to her frame, the outlines on the bodice created the illusion of having a fitted design.

For shoes, she wore a pair of Manolo Blahnik sandals in black. They are similar in design to the designer’s Leva sandals. They are made of nappa leather, and the open-toe sandals feature front crossover straps and an ankle tie closure, finished with a stiletto high heel. Kirby’s pair featured a single, thicker strap across the upper, with more straps coming in mid-foot, and wrapping across the front of her ankle.
She continued to show off her fun pregnancy style during another appearance in Mexico City with her castmates on Sunday. For a meet-and-greet with fans, Kirby wore a skintight black dress with cutouts on the sides of her body, revealing some skin. The midi dress also featured a sweetheart neckline with wide straps.
For the event, she also wore another pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes, opting for the luxury footwear designer’s Paloma sandals style. The Paloma sandals she wore were made from black snakeskin leather and featured a 105mm heel, a rounded almond toe and a fixed crisscross strap in front. The mom-to-be completed the look with minimal jewelry and a pair of all-black sunglasses. Kirby worked with stylist Andrew Mukamal to create the looks. Mukamal has recently worked with Hailey Bieber, Lindsay Lohan and Carey Mulligan.
Next year, Manolo Blahnik will be celebrating its 55th anniversary. In that time, the footwear company has become a go-to for celebrities and shoe lovers worldwide. Mytheresa and Blahnik recently released an exclusive collection of accessories and footwear for men and women, inspired by the French Riviera. The 21-piece capsule collection was launched in March, marking the first time Mytheresa and Manolo Blahnik collaborated.
