Taraji P. Henson turned heads in a pair of pointed toe pumps while walking down the 2025 Met Gala red carpet on Monday night.
Known for her love of pumps, the “Empire” actress went for a sleek pair in a gold colorway. The pumps Henson goes for are specifically characterized by a closed-back design and a pronounced upper. Crafted with leather, the silhouette also featured a slender heel that clocked in at roughly 4 inches. Styled by Wayman and Micah, she wore an off-white custom Monse x Post-Imperial dress that consisted of a cropped blazer overtop a minidress.

Henson wasn’t the only one who opted for pumps for fashion’s biggest night. Singer and entrepreneur Ciara was also spotted wearing a pair of pointed-toe pumps that were from Christian Louboutin, as she walked the red carpet with husband Russell Wilson. A year-round seasonal staple, the silhouette also included a closed-back design that secured her feet in place as she walked alongside with her husband. Rounding out the footwear was a razor sharp stiletto heel estimated to be around 5 inches in height.
Coco Jones was another one who opted for pumps, with the “ICU” singer and actress wearing a pair of sleek white pointed-toe pumps that featured sharp, angular pointed toes accompanied by equally sharp stiletto heels standing around 5 inches in height. The shoes featured a simple, minimalist design that didn’t take away from her attention-commanding outfit.
The 2025 Met Gala is being held tonight in New York. The theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” celebrates all things African American styles and culture. This year’s co-chairs include Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams, along with Vogue’s Editor In Chief Anna Wintour.
