Selena Gomez celebrated the latest launch for her Rare Beauty makeup brand with a party at The West Hollywood Edition on Thursday in California. For the event, which was a celebration for the “True to Myself Natural Matte Longwear Foundation” debut, Gomez was outfitted in head-to-toe Prada, including a pair of white slingback pumps.
The singer opted for Prada’s modern Patent Leather Slingback Pumps in white, which are also available in red and retail for $1,290. The slingback pumps are designed with precise, tapered, feminine lines that deliver a contemporary flair. The patent leather shoes have an elongated, pointy-toe silhouette and a slightly V-shaped vamp that adds sharp angles and shows off more of the top of the foot.

The vamps are also embellished with a simple yet refined bow that sits gently on the side of the foot and are decorated with a small screen-printed Prada logo. The geometric heel is inspired by the emblematic Prada triangle, which completes the design, adding even more sharpness to the shoe.
The sculptural and architectural heel features precise, tapered lines that give the shoe a modern triangular-inspired base that provides a distinct look compared to traditional thin stilettos. The varnished heels measure 100mm, which is around 3.9 inches. The shoes are held in place with an elastic slingback strap.
She paired the stark white heels with Prada’s embellished wool and silk minidress in a soft Barbie pink. The pink minidress is tailored to a loose silhouette with a lustrous finish, a bead-embellished collar and front pockets.
Gomez is known for her mature and refined style, which also translates to her shoes. She often reaches for high heeled pumps for her outings, and has worn Prada pumps on the red carpet. The Prada heels she wore to the Rare Beauty event fall in line with two of the most consistent footwear trends of the last couple of years, which are slingback heels and white shoes. Slingback heels have been a go-to design on runways and red carpets, while dressier white shoes are becoming a celebrity-favorite shoe style that is also taking over a long list of brands, and are quickly becoming a shoe staple.
