This month, Reneé Rapp kicked off the European leg of her “Bite Me” tour, with stops in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin and more cities. On Thursday night, the musician performed across the pond in an edgy look, anchored by Balmain’s slouchy wedge boots.
Rapp took to the stage at the OVO Wembley Arena in the head-turning sand-colored leather shoes, defined by a dramatically slouched shaft and sculptural wedge. The softly ruched upper created a relaxed, puddle-like effect through the calf, while the elongated pointed toe lent a sleek contrast to the otherwise undone silhouette. The boots are also available in a “no wedge” style, featuring a curved, open wedge with a unique floating appearance.
Wedge boots have ebbed and flowed in popularity over the years. In the early 2000s, fashion darlings like Kate Moss and Sienna Miller adopted the silhouette. More recently, the shoe has reemerged as a street-style favorite, with brands like Jimmy Choo, Paris Texas and Schutz fueling its resurgence.

With a playful, unconventional approach to fashion, “The Sex Lives of College Girls” alum is no stranger to a statement shoe. In the past, she’s stepped out in attention-commanding silhouettes like Christian Louboutin’s red-and-white polka dot Miss Chief heels and NiiHAi’s knee-high black leather boxer boots.
On Thursday evening, Rapp styled the slouchy wedge Balmain boots with a military-inspired Brandenburg jacquard vest from Kenzo’s spring 2026 collection, a nod to a knitted piece from the brand’s fall 1972 collection. From there, the “Pretty Girls” singer opted for especially baggy, distressed jeans, tucking the bottoms into the calf-grazing shoes. Rapp rounded out her performance look with Jimmy Fairly’s deep red Luz aviator sunglasses, while her long blond hair flowed freely as she danced on stage.
