Pharrell Williams Takes the Flip-flop Trend One Step Further in His Spring 2026 Louis Vuitton Men’s Collection

The designer debuted the new LV Flip style at Louis Vuitton's latest men's show in Paris on Tuesday.

It’s no doubt that flip-flops have started to see a resurgence among the men’s style crowd this year, with sleek thong sandals from luxury brands like The Row leading the charge.

It could perhaps be the runoff effect of the Y2K aesthetic renaissance, or the continued movement toward low-profile sneaker silhouettes following years of oversized dad shoes. But regardless of inception, the lowly thong sandal is back — and it comes at a cost, sometimes nearly $1,000.

And now, Pharrell Williams-designed Louis Vuitton has entered the chat. In his spring/summer 2026 menswear collection, Williams debuted the new LV Flip. Described as a voluminous flip-flop crafted in dark leathers, pastel suedes and tan, blue and white crocodile, the silhouette was seen styled on the runway with slouchy trousers for an easy, breezy summer vibe. It also appears with bag-inspired construction.

While the retail price of the new LV Flip is still unknown at this time, current sandal styles on the Louis Vuitton website retail roughly between $700 and $1,000. Although there is one outlier – the LV Oasis Mule in alligator – which retails for $4,000, which most likely is where the crocodile version of the new flip-flop is likely to sit.

As for the collection’s other footwear styles for spring 2026, Williams previewed the LV Jazz, which is a super-thin silhouette proposed in lace-up and derby loafer versions across leather, suede and ostrich in pastel colors as well as golden, brown and black.

Next was the LV Tilted, a suede skate shoe with a Damier-relief outsole, which evolves in new colors and gem encrustations. Plus, the LV Bubble appears as a derby with stone embellishment and in black leather or brown suede, and as a hiking boot in brown or beige leather with a black rubber toe. And, the LV Yeti ankle boot takes form in golden and brown suede.

Williams also showed the LV x The Darjeeling Limited motif, which takes over the LV Buttersoft Sneaker, the LV Remix hiking boot and LV Jazz loafers and derby loafers.
