Mary J. Blige has beat out her own style profile over her long career and she’s not intent on changing it. The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul is currently on her “For My Fans” tour. For the Atlanta stop, she opted for some some of her style signatures: a big, all-white fur and chiffon duster coat, glamour by way of an eye-catching sequined catsuit and a pair of matching boots, her favorite footwear style. Blige was styled by the duo Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald.
The look was a custom design from Todd Fisher. The boots were almost knee-high and completely sequined. They feature a full zip on the inside for ease. In addition, they have a sharply pointed toe. On the back, the boots include a stiletto heel, likely of about four inches.

This isn’t her first Todd Fisher look. The singer has been wearing a number of them. In another look, she wore a custom animal print bodysuit of spandex and vegan satin and trench coat featuring faux fur details. That look also included a matching, custom knee-high boot with a pointed toe. It was worn for a tour stop in North Carolina.

Blige has played a “major role” in the success of Fisher’s career according to him. She’s worn his looks over the years including the time he made a custom snake print bomber and matching bodysuit for her Strength of a Woman Festival.
Blige is known, in part, for her penchant for boots. Last year, the star released a gold slouchy boot with Giuseppe Zanotti that sold out on release. “My fans and my community know that part of my style is these statement boots – I’ve worn them during so many big moments of my career, it just made sense. It could never be anything else,” the songstress said at the time. “My fans have been waiting for a boot from me for a long time, so I knew when I did it, it had to be right. From start to finish, Giuseppe just understood what I wanted and helped make this idea a reality.”
In November they revisited the collaboration, releasing The Mary Boot in white.
