Lily Collins is making Birkenstock sandals her go-to while filming Season Five of “Emily in Paris.”
The actress was spotted filming on the set of the hit Netflix show on Saturday in Venice, Italy, and she was wearing a pair of Birkenstock’s Madrid Vegan sandals. The shoes provided comfort as she arrived at a restaurant to film a scene with costar Eugenio Franceschini.
While stars often wear Crocs and Ugg boots in between scenes, before changing into high heels or other more elaborate shoes, Collins seemed to keep her Birkenstock sandals on as she took a seat at a table to film the scene. Though she was dressed as her character Emily from the ankles up, she kept her feet comfortable in the Madrids.

Making its debut in 1963, the Madrid sandals feature a contoured cork-latex footbed that creates custom support with each wear. The shoes are designed with a single, sophisticated strap across the upper, which is adjustable and held in place by a small metal pin buckle. The current version was refashioned to be vegan, with a velvety synthetic upper that is soft to the touch, adding depth and dimension to the slip-on shoe. The pair of Collins’ shoes was in a gray taupe color and retailed for $80.
Collins paired her sandals with a look with pieces from Marine Serre. She wore a red Moonogram mesh flock high-neck top and matching tights from the brand, with a strapless red dress with a balloon skirt on top. Her bob was split down the middle and pinned back, out of her face.
