Bella Thorne turned 28 on Oct. 8, and the actress celebrated her day with a birthday party at The Fleur Room in Los Angeles on Saturday in gravity-defying platform heels. Thorne’s fiancé, Mark Emms, her sister, Dani Thorne, Paris Hilton and more attended the celebrations.
With Halloween being less than a week away, Thorne threw a costume party and elevated her look with a pair of lofty Versace heels. The Disney Channel alum went for a pair of Versace’s Tempest platform pumps that are made with a polished calf leather, and have become a go-to footwear option for the actress as of late.

While the upper of the Tempest style features the same design as a traditional pump, the high-heeled shoe is characterized by a few unique features, including the dramatic, ultra-pointed toe silhouette and a sculpted 170mm heel.

The shoe stands tall on a sculpted, curved platform that features a notched, wavy design with a height that measures around three inches at the front of the foot. The covered wedge-like heel, measuring approximately seven inches, is a sight to behold and gave the actress a major boost in height.
The shoes were also made in a bright purple color and are currently only available for sale on luxury retail websites. Versace created another Tempest model that features the same design as the one Thorne wore but also showcases three straps across the upper and one around the ankle, with gold buckles and details.
Thorne paired the massive heels with a burlesque-inspired costume, including a Pronovias bridal corset top with a sweetheart neckline, a black lace bra and skirt. She added white gloves to her look and a feather on her head, and she decorated the rest of her ensemble with gold and pearl embellishments on her jewelry and her accessories.
The “Shake It Up” alum has been spotted in the Versace Tempest platforms before. A year ago, she attended the premiere of her movie “The Trainer” at the Rome Film Festival wearing the shoes with a dress from the Julie Kegels spring 2025 collection.
Thorne wore them again on the red carpet at the HollyShorts 20th Film Festival Awards, which took place at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Aug. 18, 2024. She paired the shoes with Tanya Taylor’s Barton embellished mini dress in yellow and black.
