Tracy Margolies Returns to Saks as Chief Merchant

Tracy Margolies, who was instrumental in launching Saks’ 10022-SHOE department, has been named Saks Fifth Avenue chief merchant. Maroglies will drive the strategic direction and performance of all buying activities for Saks and will report to Saks Fifth Avenue president Marc Metrick.

“Tracy knows the Saks culture, has strong vendor partnerships and brings a built-in passion for the Saks brand,” Metrick said. “When the chief merchant position opened up at Saks I immediately thought of Tracy, and when I assumed my role as president she was my first call. I’m confident that she will help us elevate the brand and continue to drive our strategy forward.”

Margolies rejoins Saks after serving as SVP, GMM of Bergdorf Goodman’s beauty, contemporary, footwear and handbag categories. She spent seven years at Saks as VP, DMM of women’s footwear where she worked closely with Metrick on the luxury retailer’s footwear makeover.
