In anticipation of the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things,” Minnetonka is releasing a limited-edition collaboration with Netflix on Wednesday. Now available for purchase, the American heritage brand has unveiled their new “Holly Wheeler” Boot — a nostalgic, 1980s-inspired silhouette designed exclusively for the series’ final season.
The style was created in collaboration with “Stranger Things” costume designer Amy Parris. The collaboration came about after Parris reached out to Minnetonka in spring 2023 in search of a 1980s-inspired boot to be featured in the series’ final season. Together, Minnetonka and Parris then dove into the brand’s archives, landing on a 1982 brand spread that they used as creative inspiration to find the right shoe.

Ultimately, the team and Parris decided to start from scratch, with Parris providing an original sketch to bring a brand new vision to life. The final result blended the brand’s vintage roots with the popular 1980s style from the era the beloved Netflix show takes place in.
The boot will also make an appearance on the show and will be worn by character Holly Wheeler, portrayed by Nell Fisher in the final season, in a key scene in a season five episode, cementing its place in “Stranger Things” history. The moccasin boots are crafted from genuine suede with playful 1980s colorblocking.
The boots feature three colors, including a turquoise cuff, a hot pink fringe and a Minnetonka brown upper with hand-whipped stitching throughout. The Holly Wheeler Boot is available for $129.95, mid-calf for $89.95, and kid sizes for $89.95, as well as a mini Holly Boot keychain priced at $12.95.
Season five of “Stranger Things” is coming to Netflix in two parts, with the first installment dropping on Nov. 26, and the second part is set to release on Christmas Day. This collaboration is available for purchase now on minnetonkamoccasin.com and DSW.com.
