FitFlop Names Douglas Jakubowski President of North America

British footwear brand FitFlop, has named Douglas Jakubowski to the post of president of North America, in a move to build on its growing U.S. business.

In a move to build on its growing U.S. business, British footwear brand FitFlop has named Douglas Jakubowski president of North America.

Jakubowski, who has more than 25 years of experience in the fashion industry, most recently was chief merchandising officer at Perry Ellis. In 2003, he was president of Perry Ellis Menswear.

In 2005, he joined Kenneth Cole Productions as SVP, Kenneth Cole Reaction. In 2009, he was appointed chief merchandising officer at Kenneth Cole Productions.

“[Doug’s] proven commercial capability, creativity, great energy and working knowledge of the ins and outs of the North American retail market will be invaluable as we build on our already impressive momentum,” said FitFlop CEO Michael Lockett.

Said Jakubowski: “My focus will be to build the brand in the USA, create long-term value and short-term opportunity, respect the palpable entrepreneurial spirit and integrity, and rule the brand’s passion.”
