Nicole Miller says she’s often dismayed when women’s tights and hose are out of sync with what they’re wearing. And now that the trend of wearing no hose in the winter has passed, Miller says the time is right to start her own line of hosiery, tights, leggings and socks, which will be launched during the holiday season with the first full line in the spring. “We’re going to have a whole new range of prints, jacquards, colors, textures and metallics,” Miller says. “I will also take elements from my dresses and put them into hosiery.” Miller gave a preview of her legwear venture in her upcoming fall collection. Inspired by Joan of Arc, she conjured up chain mail and fleur-de-lis-patterned hosiery, which will retail for $25 under a licensing agreement with manufacturer and distributor Leg Resource Inc.
