Corthay is expanding its footprint in London.
According to the French luxury shoe brand, it has opened a dedicated space within the Cifonelli store at 16 Clifford Street in the UK capital city’s upscale Mayfair neighborhood.
Corthay noted in a statement that its latest shop with Cifonelli carries its ready-to-wear footwear collection and offers a new setting where visitors can shop both French brands for a total outfit.
“This collaboration in London feels like a natural extension of our shared vision,” Pierre Corthay, owner and designer of his namesake shoe brand, said in a statement. “It connects us with a clientele that values exclusivity and personalization.”

Lorenzo Cifonelli, the fourth-generation owner and designer of Cifonelli, added: “The blending of our two worlds allows clients to experience the full spectrum of bespoke craftsmanship, from head-to-toe.”
This opening comes after the French footwear teamed up with Asics on a shoe collaboration. Dubbed the En Piste Hybrid, the shoe updates Asics’ signature X-Caliber sneaker model made popular in the 1980s.
The finished result features the X-Caliber’s signature wave design to allow the foot to bend as well as Corthay’s signature patina technique resulting in a monochromatic design. Made of calfskin uppers in Japan, the shoe also features the Asics signature tiger stripes, comfort sole and is lined in GoreTex.
The duo also teamed up on a sport model inspired by Asics Gel-Lyte Speed sneaker from the ‘90s. Dubbed the Asics x Corthay Sporty, the shoe was made of calfskin and featured a touch of patent leather.
Corthay got its start in 1990 in Paris and is known for its signature patina treatments. In March 2004, Corthay expanded to Japan, opening boutiques in Tokyo and Osaka. The company also has its aforementioned flagship stores in London and Paris as well as shops in Hong Kong, Beijing, Wuhan and Seoul.
The over 30-year-old brand offers both bespoke and made-to-measure shoes as well as a curated selection of ready-to-wear men’s footwear.
Corthay is distributed in North America at retailers including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Leffot and other key specialty stores.
