Cesare Attolini is getting into the shoe business for the first time.

The Neapolitan luxury menswear brand will launch three distinct styles of its new Leisuretime Loafer for the fall 2025 season.

For brothers Massimiliano Attolini, president of Cesare Attolini and Giuseppe Attolini, vice president of the company, the expansion into shoes felt like a “natural” move for the company, which was founded in 1987 by their father Cesare. “My brother and I noticed there was an opportunity to create a pair of shoes we would wear on the weekends during our leisure time that were comfortable and elegant,” Massimiliano Attolini told FN in a joint interview.

While Cesare Attolini hasn’t established a specific rollout plan for the new shoe line, Massimiliano added that the decision to introduce footwear was “strategically made” in response to strong customer demand for both style and comfort. “This addition is designed to enhance the shopping experience by providing a complete range of high-quality options in one place,” he said.

The brothers described the footwear range as being “distinguished by its commitment to quality and craftsmanship,” with the use of only the finest materials.

Crafted from suede leather, the Leisuretime Loafer features a 100 percent cashmere lining, while the High Leisuretime Loafer and the Leisuretime Loafer with tassels are lined with calf leather, the company noted.

The shoes come in 11 colorways, including light gray, natural and light brown. They will retail for $1,300 at all of the Cesare Attolini stores including in Bal Harbour, Fla.; on Madison Avenue; in Milan; Monte Carlo, and London.

“The collection showcases clean lines and luxurious materials such as suede and leather, enhanced by subtle details like tassels and meticulous stitching,” Giuseppe Attolini noted. “This combination of traditional and contemporary design elements offers a refined and versatile aesthetic, ensuring both timeless style and comfort.”

The launch of the category comes as the company saw sales increase 15 percent in 2024 compared to the prior year. And while there are concerns over the state of the global economy, the Attolini’s remain resilient in their business plans.

“The broader economic environment does impact luxury brands, but Cesare Attolini has a history of sustaining its market position due to its high-quality craftsmanship and strong brand heritage,” Giuseppe Attolini said. “The focus on high-quality materials and craftsmanship of their products typically helps buffer against short-term market fluctuations.”

And there is even more in the works this year. “In 2025, Cesare Attolini is planning to open new boutiques around the world and a collection increasingly designed for greater customization for top clients,” Massimiliano Attolini added.
