Women and men taking part in Saturday’s Women’s March in Washington D.C. and in sister marches around the world took to Twitter to share their marching shoes.
The hashtag ‘marching shoes’ was trending on Friday after Trump’s inauguration. Protesters tweeted snapshots of the shoes they were planning to wear. Styles spanned comfortable clogs and running shoes, to cowboy boots and duck boots.

Some marchers decorated their marching shoes with pins that expressed support for specific causes.
