On Wednesday, LDMA, which stands for Life Deserves More Action, revealed its expansion into the bodywear category.
Initially launched as an intimates brand, LDMA added active loungewear to its product assortment in January 2025. Bridging the worlds of its intimates and lounge collections, the brand said it is aiming to create a “modern active uniform” for women to move between workouts, work and daily life.
“Bodywear is a natural evolution of LDMA’s brand architecture,” Michele Thomas, the company’s cofounder, told WWD in an exclusive interview. “We began with intimates as the foundation of the wardrobe and expanded into an active lounge to deliver everyday ease and elevated comfort. Bodywear builds on both and introduces structured, more fashion-forward multiuse silhouettes that move seamlessly through an active woman’s day.”

Leland Drummond, cofounder of LDMA, added that the vision for the brand was always to create a cohesive system of dressing as today’s woman transitions between various life activities: meetings, travel, errands and social activities.
The brand’s overall approach to its collections is to work in creating a wardrobe ecosystem where all the pieces are interconnected, rather than fragmented — a broader trend for women who are turning toward multifunctional pieces when building out their closets. Thomas said the goal is not to be everything but to achieve livable pieces and each new category LDMA expands into strengthens the entire system.
“The new bodywear collection reflects our focus on effortless versatility, pieces that transition seamlessly from performance to everyday life. Designed to layer across intimates and lounge, it felt like a natural and necessary next step for LDMA,” Drummond said.
The debut collection introduces a bra tank, bodysuit and romper — to act as functional wardrobe anchors. The three silhouettes feature sculpting fabrics, minimal seams and neutral palette tones to mix in with existing LDMA pieces and wear beyond the gym. The bodywear collection will see seasonal updates, new silhouettes introduced and technical fabric innovations.
“Bodywear was intentionally designed to sit between our intimates and lounge categories, connecting the two,” Thomas said. “Intimates provide the foundation, lounge offers ease and layering — and bodywear elevates both into structured silhouettes that can stand alone or integrate seamlessly across the LDMA wardrobe.”
Thomas and Drummond explained that the new collections’ silhouettes are staples that every woman should have in their wardrobe, designed to be reached for multiple times a week, with minimal styling decisions required.
“Multifunctional wardrobes allow women to transition fluidly between training, work, travel and daily life without needing to change outfits multiple times. At LDMA, we design for the multiuse wearer, prioritizing pieces that move fluidly from performance to daily life, without compromising on fit, function or style,” Drummond said.
