More and more designers are marching down the aisle with bridal innerwear lines. Bridal and intimates designer Jenny Packham introduced sleepwear at her shop on Elizabeth Street in London two years ago. Harrods picked up the line in September, and this month, Packham showed it at the Salon International de la Lingerie in Paris. The collection includes a layered chiffon baby doll with feather trim and embroidered silk satin kimonos. The items retail from about $640 to $1,130.
Also from London, Ayten Gasson’s retro bridal collection features vintage Leavers lace trims by Roger Watson, a Nottingham, England-based producer who supplied the lace for Princess Diana’s wedding dress. Styles include soft bralets, teddies, and long slips and teddies, as well as eye masks, garters and cuffs. It is carried by Topshop in London; Boudoir Intimates in Australia, and Oh Baby in Portland, Ore.
