Ever wonder what that extra little pocket in jeans is for? According to Levi Strauss, it was intended to hold a pocket watch, a handy little accessory back in the late 1800s. But Kerrygold, the cheese brand, believes that according to Irish folklore, that little pocket was meant to hold cheese and ward off mischievous fairies.
So just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, Kerrygold, the Irish cheese brand, has teamed up with the Dublin-based Native Denims on special Cheese-Pocket Jeans that are intended to hold Kerrygold Cheese Snacks. The jeans are made from organic indigo denim with a Kerrygold leather back patch, a green back pocket tab, gold stitching and an embroidered cheese pocket featuring the Irish buttercups used in the Kerrygold logo.
Beginning Wednesday, cheeseheads can enter for a chance to win one of the 500 pairs of Kerrygold x Native Jeans on the Kerrygold website.
