LONDON — Celebrity stylist Harry Lambert debuted his new Disney collection for Zara at the Selfridges Corner Shop during London Fashion Week. The pop-up, open through Oct. 2, will officially launch in Zara stores and online from Thursday.
At the pop-up, guests tried on Mickey Mouse ear hats, while loafers bearing the character’s silhouette sat alongside faux-fur jackets and retro Ts printed with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Pluto.

“The idea was really taking not only their iconic colors and signifiers, but also their personalities, and kind of thinking about what Mickey or Daisy or Donald would wear today,” Lambert said in an interview.
The Aw Gee! Wow collection remixed modern silhouettes with a childlike energy. Standouts include shearling-trimmed jackets as well as jumpers printed with Minnie Mouse’s famous polka-dot dress pattern.
The collection also included kidswear, Lambert’s first foray into designing for children with matching looks to the adult collection which Lambert said he intentionally did to emulate the idea of families wearing coordinated outfits at the parks.
“I designed the adults first, and then took inspiration from the adults into the kids. I really love the idea of fabrics or designs that come from the adults into the kids, so you kind of get twinning a bit,” Lambert said.
As a longtime Disney devotee, the collaboration carried personal significance for Lambert.
“I grew up a lot on Disney. From the age of 8, my parents took me to the parks, and it’s one of my favorite places to go to forget about everything else in my life and go into this world of fantasy. So this feels like a little fashion dream come true,” he said.
