Pantone’s spring 2020 color predictions have already proven to be celebrity favorites during awards season.
The trend forecaster’s 16 spring 2020 color forecast — which ranged from Flame Scarlet to Brilliant White and Biscay Green to Cinnamon Stick — have popped up at major awards shows over the last month, with the likes of Nicole Kidman, Awkwafina and Billy Porter, among others, gravitating toward the bolder hues of the bunch.
Some celebrities have looked to the spring 2020 color predictions for multiple awards shows, namely double Oscar nominee Scarlett Johansson, who wore a Flame Scarlet Vera Wang dress at the Golden Globes and a Mosaic Blue Armani gown at the SAG Awards, and Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan, who wore a metallic Ash-hued Celine dress at the Golden Globes and a Coral Pink Erdem floral dress at the Critics’ Choice Awards.
Pantone’s Color of 2020, Classic Blue, has unsurprisingly made the most red carpet appearances so far, including on the likes of Renée Zellweger in Maison Margiela at the SAG Awards, Glenn Close in Armani and Nicholas Braun in Prada at the Golden Globes, among others.
As the 2020 awards season is still underway, here WWD rounded up how 30 celebrities are wearing Pantone’s spring 2020 colors on the red carpet.
