Margot Robbie’s promotional tour for her new film “Wuthering Heights” has been full of method dressing moments. Working in tandem with stylist Andrew Mukamal, the Oscar-nominated star has worn designs by Chanel, Schiaparelli, and others for the film’s Paris photo call and Los Angeles screening, among other events.
The actress’ Los Angeles premiere Schiaparelli look, designed by artistic director Daniel Roseberry, featured a nude jersey and black Chantilly lace overlay adorned with golden metal eyelets at the back. Cascading tiers of velvet and satin fabric formed the skirt, with a red-to-black fumato effect.
“It was the idea of [the dress] soaking up the ground, which we knew was going to be red carpet, or [in this case] red lacquered floor, and having it kind of seep up into the dress, and then the lace and the dark decay of the Wuthering Heights,” Robbie described the gown during an interview with Variety at the Los Angeles premiere. The actress and producer also teased how her promotional tour looks would “evolve.”
The press tour has also generated a bevy of media interest. Robbie’s aforementioned Schiaparelli look generated $5.9 million in media impact value, per Launchmetrics. The actress and producer’s Chanel look, seen in the gallery, hit $3.3 million and her Dilara Findikoglu generated $4.2 million. in MIV.
