“Today’s gonna be a good day.” Early Monday morning, Russell Westbrook was taking an optimistic stance on the day as he posed for the mob of photographers prowling the runway before the Jeremy Scott show. Rumors of a possible appearance by Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were floating around. While neither ended up attending, there were plenty of other familiar faces in the front row: Coco Rocha, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Paris Hilton, Leigh Lezark and Kelly Osbourne with her dog in tow. Most had come dressed in the designer’s colorful and playful designs.
“I just realized I sat on one and I guess I broke it, I’m very sad,” said Rocha, referring to the many large silver balls embellishing her dress. “When I left my hotel I’m, like, ‘Oh, people must be wondering where I’m going.’ I started feeling more and more comfortable on my way here — you definitely know when you’re arriving to a Jeremy Scott show. If you’re ever lost, just look at the people.”
The model has walked in Scott’s show in previous seasons, but was getting a different vantage point this time. Rocha recently took a stake in Nomad Mgmt, where she’s making a point of lending her expertise to the industry’s newest faces. “I’m very passionate about our new young generation,” she explained. “It’s mentoring new girls, going on their shoots, figuring out what they love, what they don’t love. Feeling out the industry, and what the girls want out of it, what their goals are, how I can help in any way. That’s been a lot of fun.”
