DALLAS BUYERS CLUB: Forty Five Ten, the Dallas-based boutique, will be expanding into a new flagship by fall 2015. The new 45,000-square-foot store will be located across from The Joule Hotel on Main Street and will sell men’s, women’s, apothecary, jewelry, home, accessories, and have a rooftop event space. The effort was a joint partnership between the boutique’s owner, Brian Bolke, and Headington Cos., a private equity investment firm. “I want the customer excited again,” said Bolke, who opened the first store in 2000. “[I want them] to feel that we are giving them a ‘moment.’ The customer wants to be wowed.”
Bolke along with Headington Cos. hopes to reinforce Dallas as an international destination for art, fashion, food and architectural design. “Downtown [Dallas] is the next big thing, not unlike Downtown Los Angeles,” Bolke said. “This area has exploded around us. It’s definitely happening and we are doing it at exactly the right time.”
