Chloë Sevigny made waves with her recent Women in Film talk at the Cannes Film Festival, in which she spoke out about sexism in Hollywood, but the actress is disproving the adage that there are no roles for women over 40. In addition to her TV roles, Sevigny said she had four films in the can. They include “The Snowman,” directed by Tomas Alfredson and starring Michael Fassbender; Oren Moverman’s “The Dinner,” with Rebecca Hall and Richard Gere, and “Golden Exits” by Alex Ross Perry, with Marie Louise Parker.
She is prepping for two more shoots in August and September, and also preparing to direct her second short film after making her debut in Cannes with “Kitty,” the story of a little girl who turns into a cat. “I was really pleased with the reception. I think people really responded to it and were moved by it. I’m thrilled about the future, what’s going to happen with it,” Sevigny said at the Kenzo men’s show in Paris on Saturday, which she attended with her boyfriend Ricky Saiz, co-head designer of streetwear label Supreme.
Among the other guests were Michael Stipe, Vashtie Kola and choreographer Justin Peck.
