STORMY WEATHER: Victoria Beckham has captured the atmospheric zeitgeist with a capsule collection of sturdy, chic outerwear pieces made with the Scottish heritage brand Mackintosh.
The six-piece collection, which launches on Friday, includes bomber and caban jackets, as well as the classic Mackintosh trenchcoat adorned with the signature Victoria Beckham B belt buckle.
The collection, tailor-made for London‘s cold and wet winter weather, comes in muted brown, rose putty and charcoal with floral print linings. The linings were inspired by one of the first pieces of Gary Hume’s art from Beckham’s personal collection.

The campaign was shot in Scotland at Barnbougle Castle, paying homage to Mackintosh’s Scottish roots.
“Mackintosh represents everything I admire in a heritage brand — integrity, craftsmanship and a distinctly British sense of understatement,” said Beckham.
“This partnership was really about refining the essentials with timeless silhouettes and thoughtful details. The result is an outerwear collection that feels contemporary, while remaining true to the integrity of both houses,” she added.
Mackintosh has been making rainwear since 1824 and is known for transforming rubberized fabric into classic designs. Although the brand is synonymous with outerwear, it has also added new collections, including the Mackintosh Mainline and collaborations with fashion brands including Studio Nicholson and Save the Duck.
It’s been a busy time for Beckham, who last month was honored with the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Ministry of Culture.
Last week the designer also appeared in her label’s eyewear campaign for the first time. Beckham features in a series of images shot by Mert & Marcus in a sunlit, sculptural setting.
“I wanted strong, instantly recognizable silhouettes that felt effortless to wear, so the focus for this collection was really on refining shape and proportion,” said Beckham of the latest collection.
The eyewear range is produced by Safilo Group as part of a 10-year global licensing agreement and is available globally via selected eyewear and fashion retailers from this month.
