ATLANTA — Field & Stream has added eyewear to its product line. The brand entered a licensing agreement with FGX International (FGXI), a designer and marketer of non-prescription eyewear, to market sunglasses, ophthalmic frames, non-prescription reading glasses and eyewear accessories under the Field & Stream name beginning in early 2009.
FGXI will pursue sales opportunities for Field & Stream branded eyewear and accessories in national and regional accounts. The company noted in a statement that active outdoor recreation generates over $280 billion in retail sales and services across the U.S., and more than three quarters of Americans participate in active outdoor recreation each year, a number that has steadily grown in recent years.
FGXI also makes Foster Grant eyewear, and has licensing agreements with Ironman, Levi Strauss, Body Glove and C9 by Champion.
