LOS ANGELES — It’s that time again for shiny statuettes and Hollywood self-congratulation.
Nominations for the 62nd Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced Monday, and designers are already eager to get their finest creations on red-carpet stars. Past winners will be back, including Nicole Kidman, Renée Zellweger and Hilary Swank, and fresh faces include Emmy Rossum, Natalie Portman, Virginia Madsen — and four “Desperate Housewives.’’ The Beverly Wilshire Hotel will be celebrity central on Jan. 16, when film and television’s top honorees gather for dinner, awards and, of course, parties. The show will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. (EST) on NBC.
