LONDON — London tailor Timothy Everest is teaming up with Bumble and bumble to sell a tailored and ready-to-wear denim line in New York.
The collection will make its U.S. debut at Bumble and bumble’s new retail space on the top floor of its training academy in the Meatpacking District, at 415 West 13th Street.
The 6,500-square-foot space will feature a barber shop and tea house, and will sell home and travel accessories. It’s set to open at the end of next month. During the year, Everest’s tailors visit his U.S. showroom to fit customers for his bespoke and made-to-measure collections.
Everest’s collection is a tailored denim line, with fabric sourced from Japan. He will offer three different types of fabric: a houndstooth pattern, a dark indigo that looks unwashed and a washed vintage denim.
There will be two women’s styles, boot-cut and skinny, and two men’s styles, a loose fit and a slim, tapered one. In the U.S., both lines will be exclusive to Bumble and bumble. In the U.K. the denim collection is available at Everest’s shops in Spitalfields and Mayfair.
The made-to-measure jeans will retail for 295 pounds, or $555 at current exchange, while the rtw jeans will sell for 175 pounds, or $329.
The London tailor also will sell a selection of shirts, ties and accessories at the new space.
