NEW YORK — Weatherproof Garment Co. picked an appropriate place to show its fall line, taking to the ice at the Bryant Park rink last Tuesday night.
Ice dancers from the Ice Theatre of New York modeled the company’s new line of coats and vests as they twirled and spun around in choreographed routines.
“We saw the rink from outside of our office windows and we wanted to get involved,” said Fredric Stollmack, president and chief executive officer of Weatherproof. “We have never done anything like this before and it’s a great way for us to do something different.”
As a sponsor of the rink, Weatherproof also has a small hut near the ice where it is selling merchandise.
The innovative fashion show featured men’s and women’s styles, including vests, fitted coats and parkas, many in bold colors.
