DALLAS — Peg Canter, vice president of apparel trade shows at the Dallas Market Center, parent of FashionCenterDallas, said Monday that she has left to pursue outside apparel-related interests.
Dallas Market Center officials confirmed that Canter departed on July 27. “We are reviewing whether Peg’s position will be filled and have not made a decision,” said Pat Zajac, senior director, communications, at the DMC.
Before the market center, Canter worked at AmericasMart in Atlanta for almost 25 years, departing in 2003 as executive vice president and general manager. She joined the DMC in 2003 to help build the apparel trade show business, including courting new buyers from outside the traditional Southwest territory.
“I am holding open my options to continue my career in the apparel industry in some capacity here in the Dallas area,” Canter said.
