After months of speculation, it’s finally happening: Zendaya and On have together created a collection of apparel and footwear that will launch on April 16. The line will be teased through a film written and directed by Spike Jonze that will be released Thursday.
The Zurich-based running shoe company brought the popular actress on board in 2024 as a brand partner. The deal was multifaceted with Zendaya appearing in a series of campaigns and also codesigning a sneaker, the Cloudzone Moon, with her longtime stylist Law Roach, which was released last summer.
As far back as August of last year, On executives had said they were working with Zendaya on apparel that was expected to be released for fall.

And now it’s time for the big reveal. On is touting the seven-piece women’s collection as a line that “brings together Zendaya’s perspective on modern sportswear with On’s design expertise — balancing performance and personal style through refined silhouettes, color and texture.”
The apparel and footwear are intended to be complementary and will include ribbed tank tops, ribbed T-shirts, half-zip anoraks, coach’s jackets, drawstring midi skirts, parachute pants and Bermuda shorts. The footwear will feature a reimagined Cloudnova Moon silhouette.
Zendaya worked with Roach on the collection.
“It’s been so much fun to collaborate with Law and the On team on these essentials,” Zendaya said. “We wanted to create pieces that feel versatile and easy to wear — styles that move with you across different moments. We started with the idea of making people feel confident and effortless, and we built everything out from there. Working with Spike Jonze brought that vision to life in a really special way — the world he created gave it a whole new dimension.”
The film, titled “Shape of Dreams,” is a little over three minutes long and is set inside an imaginary world, The Dream Lab, where silhouettes evolve, materials shift and people and outfits stretch and shrink. Still-life imagery by photographer Sean Thomas accompanies the film and serves to spotlight the line.
“This co-created collection marks the next chapter in our creative partnership with Zendaya,” said Alex Griffin, chief marketing officer of On. “A complete expression across footwear and apparel, brought to life through a remarkable campaign directed by the legendary Spike Jonze. Zendaya’s creative spirit is felt in every detail — shaping how performance and style come together. At On, premium design is embedded in our DNA, and this launch reflects the culture of curiosity and collaboration that continues to shape our work.”
The Zendaya collection will be sold online, in On stores and at select retailers globally.
In addition to Zendaya, On has a longstanding relationship with Roger Federer, who is an investor, an ambassador for the brand, and the face of a collection of tennis shoes.
On was founded in 2010 in the Swiss Alps and has rapidly been carving out a niche in the performance sports market. It went public in the fall of 2021 and has consistently posted strong results. Although still primarily a footwear brand, On has been expanding its reach in apparel. In the fourth quarter, apparel sales were up 38.43 percent to 45.1 million Swiss francs, a number that represented only 7 percent of overall sales.
But Martin Hoffmann, the company’s outgoing chief executive officer and chief financial officer, said at the time that 10 percent of new customers discover the brand through apparel and the goal for the future is to build a complete sportswear brand. And an apparel collection from Zendaya is bound to help in that quest.
