The 2025 Costume Designers Guild Awards (CDGA) honored excellence in costume design across film, television, short form design and costume illustration from the past season. The 27th annual ceremony took place on Thursday at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, with nominees including Colleen Atwood for “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice,” Jacqueline West for “Dune: Part Two” and Emmanuelle Youchnovski for “The Substance.”
This year, Janelle Monáe received the Vanguard Spotlight Awards, which honors a recipient who “sets new standards in their arena, not only for their outstanding achievements but also for their courage as a visionary that serves as an inspiration to us all,” a statement from the Costume Designer Guild Awards said. Kate Beckinsale, Kathryn Hahn, Mindy Kaling and other celebrities also attended the event.
