Will Louis Vuitton’s next show be in Madrid? If not on the runway, then at least on the streets, with three of the house’s brand ambassadors filming there.
Jennifer Connelly and Ana de Armas are heading to the Spanish capital Wednesday to start shooting the AppleTV series “Safe Houses,” while Chloë Grace Moretz is already treating the city as a temporary home while filming the action-comedy “Mister,” costarring Walton Goggins.
While “Safe Houses” is mostly in English, Cuba native de Armas, who lived in Madrid for a few years, will dip back into her roots. “I will for sure pull out my Spanish,” she said at the Louis Vuitton show in Paris on Tuesday. “Por supuesto.”
Though she’s already planning her summer vacation in the Spanish islands, she admitted she’s more of a winter person. “I live in a winterland in the north U.S., and I enjoy the snow,” she said.

De Armas said she has her eye on a standout leather jacket from the collection, featuring a harness-like waist detail and shapely shoulders.
She also declared herself a fan of the giant bags and playful pointy hats, and said that she might even debut one on the red carpet.
For Connelly, a longtime Louis Vuitton ambassador and close friend of creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, trust in his vision is complete.
Standing against the Tetris-esque, blocky landscape of moss-covered mountains that framed the runway, she admitted she doesn’t remember her very first red carpet look.
“But I do have a lot of [my looks], especially from the early days. I have it all saved,” she said. Even while sitting in the most famous museum in the world, she said there are no plans to exhibit her archive; instead, it’s packed away for her daughter to wear someday.
Moretz only briefly stepped away from Madrid, where she’s currently working on the film.
“It was actually nice to come to Paris and not be jet-lagged for once,” she said. “A two-hour flight is a world of difference.”
She’s soaking up the Spanish capital’s charms while on set. “It has incredible food. The vibe of the city is wonderful,” she added, noting that she’s even picking up a bit of Spanish along the way.
At the show, she opted for a light, seasonal jumpsuit from Ghesquière’s latest collection that she called “fresh and kind of springy for all the sun we are having,” she said of the unusually warm Paris morning.
Zendaya was also embracing the sun-soaked energy, even if it left her a little overheated. She handpicked a flowing white dress from the spring collection unveiled in October.
“I flagged it,” she said of the moment she saw it coming down the runway last season. “The skirt has flow, but the shirt is structured, and this exaggerated collar is amazing. It’s like business, but casual and fun all at the same time.”
Back in October, she was juggling three films. “Now I have to promote those three movies,” she joked, noting she was scouting red carpet inspiration from the front row alongside stylist Law Roach.
Alicia Vikander embraced the elfin vibe of Ghesquière’s giant elfin hats, which echoed some traditional Scandi headwear.
“I’m into it. I just came from the north of Sweden, now all the way down here,” she said. “It definitely had that kind of folklore vibe I experienced up north.”
She had been visiting her home country for a friend’s wedding. “It was absolutely like a fairy tale up in the snow, and nice to have a reason to visit.”
Next up is the dark satire “The Worst,” costarring Keira Knightley and Jamie Dornan, which will shoot in France.
Olympic gold medal winner Alysa Liu was making her first trip to Paris. She had two things on her checklist (aside from the Louis Vuitton show) — to see the Eiffel Tower up close and to eat crepes. Luckily, she checked the latter off of her list before the show, and was trying to schedule an afternoon trip to the tourist hot spot before her departure.
She matched her look to her striped hair, in an LV ensemble of brown denim with classic monograms on the pockets.
As for her first trip to Paris? “I didn’t know what to expect. I’ve never seen much about fashion shows online,” she said. “But I think it’s so sick.” Next up is a tour of skating shows, starting in Japan.
Jaden Smith buddied up with Christian Louboutin, founder of the house where Smith is now creative director. The transition, he said, is going smoothly. “We’re locked in and it’s going amazing,” Smith said.
He carried a house-shaped bag so intricately detailed that a tiny owl figurine peeked from the roof.
