Rickie De Sole, vice president and fashion director at Nordstrom Inc., is leaving the company, WWD has learned.
A spokeswoman on Tuesday said De Sole will leave the Seattle-based Nordstrom next month. No reason for the departure was given.
De Sole has been with Nordstrom for four years, and has been instrumental in helping the retailer build its designer image and assortment. She originally joined the retailer as the women’s fashion and editorial director, a new position at the time, and was eventually promoted to her current role. De Sole has been involved in working “cross-functionally across different facets of the women’s designer division, bringing a heightened point of view to the merchandising offering to deliver against business goals and growth plans,” Nordstrom indicated when De Sole took the job.
In addition, De Sole helped develop Nordstrom’s women’s designer editorial plan, created designer content and acted as a spokesperson for Nordstrom. She has been highly visible at industry events and fashion shows.
