Treasure & Bond, Nordstrom‘s give-back brand, has expanded into women’s footwear, handbags and men’s apparel, while continuing with women’s apparel. In addition, Treasure & Bond will launch handbags and accessories in October and kids in February.
Treasure & Bond donates 2.5 percent of its net sales, which represents 5 percent of net profits, to nonprofits that empower youth. Treasure & Bond just donated $254,000 to the Girls on the Run organization, and for the August 2015 through January 2016 period, Treasure & Bond sales will support the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and charities in Canada. Last Friday, Nordstrom opened a flagship in Vancouver, the retailer’s third store in Canada.
“It’s been so rewarding for us to see Treasure & Bond evolve,” said Mark Tritton, president of Nordstrom Product Group. The women’s footwear features washed artisan staples with a “borrowed from the boys’ feel,” casual urban boots and booties, distressed leather sandals and flats. The men’s is rooted in denim as well as laundered tees, lived-in shirts, jackets and rugged sweaters. The Treasure & Bond handbags will focus on “authentic casual silhouettes” with cross-body totes and satchels, while soft accessories reflect “an effortless, urban-cool layering authentic aesthetic.”
