PARIS — Karl Lagerfeld, a popular figure in Saint-Tropez, plans to open a pop-up shop in the resort town.
The 400-square-foot unit in picturesque Place des Lices is to open on June 8 and remain open for five months.
It will showcase a beach line developed exclusively for the location, along with a selection of clothing and accessories for women and men from the designer’s masstige Karl label and the premium Karl Lagerfeld Paris collection.
The décor is to echo the color palette of the brand, which is based on black and white with flashes of silver.
A magnet for celebrities and mega yachts, Saint-Tropez has attracted an array of luxury boutiques in recent years — some seasonal, some permanent.
Lagerfeld often vacations in the French Riviera and occasionally can be spotted at its mythic café Sénéquier, where he staged a cruise collection for Chanel in 2010.
