NEW YORK — No stranger herself to hosting large dinners, Donna Karan will soon be able to serve food to guests on her own china and cutlery.
Donna Karan International has inked a licensing deal with Rosenthal USA Inc. for tabletop and giftware. The collection will encompass the Donna Karan Collection and Pure DKNY brands, and include casual and formal dinnerware, stemware, giftware and flatware.
“Together, we will expand Donna Karan’s distinctive artistic vision through a new range of tabletop and giftware product offerings,” said Cathy Volker, DKI’s executive vice president of global licensing. “Our shared commitment to innovation and aesthetic perspectives will facilitate the creation of products that suit the lifestyle and tastes of an important customer base in this market segment.”
This is Karan’s first foray into tabletop. The launch is slated for late next year, and will complement Karan’s existing home categories, which include bedding and bath designs.
