BERLIN — Beiersdorf has named a new executive board member to oversee some of its top brands.
Vincent Warnery will join the board of the Hamburg-based consumer goods company starting February 15.
French-born Warnery previously worked at Procter & Gamble, L’Oréal, where he spent 15 years, and most recently at health-care firm Sanofi, where he held the position of senior vice president and head of its global consumer health business.
At Beiersdorf, he will be responsible for skin-care brands Eucerin and La Prairie, as well as for foot care and bandage brand Hansaplast.
“For Eucerin, Hansaplast and La Prairie we see lots of growth potential in the future that we intend to leverage through investments and innovation, helped by new management and new business opportunities,” Beiersdorf chief executive officer Stefan Heidenreich said in a statement that also cited the growth of the firm’s top brand, Nivea.
“With Mr. Warnery’s appointment, we are adding a manager to our executive board who has the expertise and international experience we need in this area.”
