Strange Invisible Perfumes is growing its enterprise by hiring its first general manager.
David Hutchinson, formerly vice president of U.S. marketing for hair color at L’Oréal, has been named general manager of the botanical fragrance company.
In his post, Hutchinson will manage all aspects of the business, including overseeing the brand’s domestic and international sales expansion, new product development, marketing and p.r. and supply chain. He will report to Alexandra Balahoutis, founder and president of Strange Invisible Perfumes.
“I’m very confident that David’s vast marketing experience and business acumen will propel my vision to the next level,” said Balahoutis.
Hutchinson joined Strange Invisible Perfumes on July 16. At L’Oréal USA, he was said to have overseen retail sales of $500 million. Additionally, he was said to have helped develop advertising campaigns featuring celebrities like Beyoncé Knowles and Julianne Moore.
