To help bolster its in-store and online business, Sears Holdings Corp. named Girish Lakshman president of fulfillment.
Edward S. Lampert, Sears Holdings’ chairman and chief executive officer, said Lakshman “will work closely with me and our supply chain and inventory management leaders to enhance our members’ experiences and support our transformation as an integrated retailer.”
“His new role will support the company’s continued efforts to enhance the member experience, flawlessly fulfill member and customers’ needs and advance its integrated retail strategy,” the company stated.
Prior to Sears, Lakshman was at Amazon Inc., where he served as vice president of worldwide transportation strategy, technology and customer returns. Lakshman was at Amazon for over a dozen years, and served in various roles — but with a focus on transportation, logistics and technology.
