LONDON — Vincent Wauters has been named chief executive officer of Hunter, and will start his new role on March 1. He succeeds James Seuss, who stepped down in November.
Wauters previously served as president of Arc’teryx, an outdoor and lifestyle label based in Vancouver. He was formerly senior vice president at Amer Sports Corporation and had worked at Newell Rubbermaid and Amazon.com in France.
“The combination of heritage, performance and fashion is what makes Hunter so unique,” said Wauters. “What has been accomplished in the last few years is remarkable, and I look forward to building on this, realizing Hunter’s global potential and setting the path toward an ambitious and inspiring brand future.”
Last year Hunter opened its first flagship on Regent Street and teamed with Itochu in Japan to develop the label in that country, with plans to open a second flagship in Tokyo this year.
