Michael Egeck’s tenure as chief executive officer of Nike Inc.’s Hurley International LLC unit has ended after eight months.
Nike said Monday that Bob Hurley, chairman and founder of the surf-inspired brand acquired by Nike 10 years ago, will assume the post of Hurley ceo on an interim basis and “work closely” with Roger Wyett, president of Nike Inc.’s affiliates unit and a former ceo of Hurley as well.
Nike said late last month that it would divest the Cole Haan and Umbro brands to focus on the Jordan, Converse and Hurley brands within the affiliates group, as well as its flagship Nike brand.
