PARIS — Marionnaud donated 100,000 euros, or $131,990 at current exchange, Wednesday to Cosmetic Executive Women France’s beauty centers, which give free treatments to hospitalized women and men.
For that sum, CEW can now fund 3,000 supplementary treatments over two years in a pair of cabins operating five days per week.
The perfumery chain raised the money by selling teddy bears dressed by designer Lolita Lempicka during the month of December. By Dec. 25, approximately 30,000 had been purchased.
Marionnaud and CEW France have been in partnership for 11 years. Since 2011, the perfumery chain has been giving CEW’s aestheticians its private label products for daily use in their cabins. The next step in the affiliation will involve beauty advisers in five Marionnaud doors being trained specifically to advise ill people who enter the perfumery.
William Koberlé, Marionnaud Group’s chief executive officer, presented the 100,000 euro check to Françoise Montenay, president of CEW France’s beauty centers, in Paris’ Institut Curie.
