Former Elizabeth Arden publicist, Leslie Weller, died on Aug. 2 at the age of 74 from natural causes.
Weller, who worked at Arden from the mid-Seventies until 2000, collaborated on a number of high-profile beauty launches, including KL by Karl Lagerfeld, Elizabeth Arden Red Door and the Fendi fragrance. She was appointed public relations director of the brand in 1983.
“At a time during the Eighties and Nineties when the beauty industry was at its peak in terms of glamorous launches, Leslie was a one of the finest p.r. executives, one who understood the art of the launch to build brand awareness,” said Marc Rosen, president and chief executive officer of Marc Rosen Associates and a former Arden executive.
Leslie is survived by husband, Charles Weller; brother, Donald Gould; niece, Amy Callahan, and nephew, Chris Gould.
