As part of the launch of Jessicasimpson.com — which coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Jessica Simpson Collection — Sequential Brands Group Inc. said it partnered with Delivery Agent Inc. to “power digital commerce” for the brand as well as the Web site.
The companies said in a statement that “fans will have the ability to shop Jessica Simpson products via her own branded digital store” at the site, and that subsequent launches “will include shopping through Delivery Agent’s Smart TV app, ShopTV, as well as via social media platforms including Twitter.”
Jessica Simpson said as the company celebrates its anniversary, the e-commerce platform offers consumers the opportunity to “directly connect” with its merchandise. “Shoppers will now be able to visit the Jessica Simpson store online — I personally hand-picked my favorite items for the launch across all categories,” she said in a statement. “Soon our customers will be able to purchase through buy buttons on the social channels they are using every day.”
Jameel Spencer, division president of fashion & entertainment at Sequential Brands, said the partnership with Delivery Agent is part of creating an omnichannel experience for consumers. “Providing an opportunity to engage directly with the fans, and provide them with exclusive content, while transacting simultaneously, has always been a goal of Jessica’s,” Spencer said. “Through Delivery Agent’s platform, we are able to expose her fans to a totally new shopping experience.”
