BERLIN – Symrise’s net profits in 2010 advanced 58 percent to 133.5 million euros, or $177.27 million.
The Holzminden, Germany-based fragrance and flavors maker registered earnings before taxes, depreciation and amortization of 331.2 million euros, or $439.8 million, up 35 percent. Symrise’s EBITDA margin came in at 21.1 percent.
For the year, company sales rose 15.4 percent to 1.57 billion euros, or $2.08 billion.
Dollar figures are converted at average exchange rates for the 12-month period.
Sales for Symrise’s scent and care division increased 18 percent to 804.5 million euros, or $1.07 billion, due largely to the improvement of its fine fragrance unit amid the economic rebound.
For fiscal 2011, the company is forecasting a sales increase of 3 to 5 percent in local currencies.
