For 130 years, Swarovski has been a world’s leading manufacturer of precision-cut crystals. Established by Daniel Swarovski in 1895, the international company with Austrian roots has been guided by the founders’ vision to create a “diamond for everyone” with its innovation, technical expertise and mastery of cutting crystals.
Swarovski has continued to set itself in the industry as a partner to designers and creatives around the world — with nearly 20,000 stock keeping units across Crystals, Swarovski Zirconia, and Swarovski Ceramics to choose from. Beyond the brand’s standard assortment and customization possibilities, twice a year the company offers seasonal launches with on-trend cuts, colors and shapes.
Over the decades, new crystals have been created in the brand’s headquarters since its founding in Wattens, Austria. The Xirius and Xilion crystals themselves have an “X-cut” created through advanced optical measurement to create unmatched brilliance. Swarovski’s crystals can be applied in a variety of ways from sewing to casing to Hotfix. When applying the crystals with variable temperature activated Hotfix glue, it allows for the crystal to be applied on a wider variety of textiles.

Continuing this brand legacy of being ahead of the curve, the brand’s latest creation is its Thermal Color Fusion™, a new technology designed to reduce environmental impact and the Swarovski ReCreated™ initiative, with a commitment to circularity by using breakage from the production process to reduce waste. To date, the brand has created Swarovski ReCreated™ colors in the Components offering: Ice Blue, Jonquil and Dark Sapphire. Peridot Smoked Topaz and Light Smoked Topaz are debuting alongside the launch of the newest collection for fall 2026.
“Facets of Time,” the new fall 2026 crystal components collection, reflects on the deep heritage of Swarovski as the “Masters of Light” while also embracing evolution. The brand said the new collection evokes “earthly elegance” with its “richly faceted hues.” A theme throughout this collection is opulence — with its gold hues found in its New Effect Crystal Aurum, with 18-karat gold and the new Crystal Royal Gold Pearl.
“When developing our novelties collection for components, we begin by exploring key social drivers and emerging future trends,” Lars Schmidt, senior vice president of business-to-business, mobility, licensing and collaborations at Swarovski, told Fairchild Studio. “These insights are transformed through our unique savoir-faire and precision crystal-cutting techniques. The outcome is a vibrant array of colors and innovative cuts that showcase our exceptional craftsmanship, crafted to spark inspiration and empower the creativity of our partners.”
The main source of inspiration, Schmidt said, for this collection came from the concept of the luxury of time — especially given the current fast-world era. He said that the new crystal components reflect this sentiment to allow for a deeper appreciation for beauty, intention and innovation.
“Swarovski remains committed to developing consciously crafted products and pioneering new technologies. With each new component collection, we aim to push boundaries in sustainability, innovation and design — ensuring our crystal components not only reflect our rich heritage but also meet the evolving needs of modern creators and consumers. With our unmatched heritage and commitment to excellence, we provide our partners with high-quality, precision-cut crystals that combine rich storytelling with exceptional design, helping them bring their boldest ideas to life,” concluded Schmidt.
